St. Renatus believes a needle-free device could:

• Reduce anxiety in those patients who are fearful of needles.

• Reduce the risk of tissue damage caused when needles enter and exit tissue. (i.e. Hematomas)

• Reduce the "fat lip" sensation when anesthetics are injected.

• Increase dentist visits for children and adults. According to the American Dental Association, regular dental examinations and good oral hygiene can prevent most dental diseases, but in 2007 about 100 million Americans did not see a dentist.
